Common questions
- I can't find the app after opening it.
- Day Rail has no Dock icon or window. Look for a row of small bars in the menu bar, near the clock. On a MacBook with a notch, macOS may hide it when the menu bar is full: quit a few menu bar apps, or ⌘-drag icons to make room.
- How do I open it from the keyboard?
- Press ⌥ Space from any app. You can change the shortcut in Settings (right-click the bars → Settings).
- What happens to tasks I don't finish?
- They move to the top of the next day on their own, with a badge showing how many days they've waited.
- How do I start at login?
- Right-click the bars → Launch at Login. macOS may ask you to approve it in System Settings → General → Login Items.
- Where are my tasks stored? Can I sync them?
- In one file on your Mac, inside the app's sandbox container. There's no sync or account, so tasks stay on the Mac where you wrote them.
- How do I delete everything?
- Settings → Clear All Data… removes every task. Deleting the app removes the rest.
